The Kiwanis Club of Shawnee meets bi-weekly on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month.  All meetings are at The Big Biscuit, 12276 Shawnee Mission Pkwy, Shawnee, KS 66216.  We meet at noon every 1st Tuesday and at 7:30 AM every 3rd Tuesday.  The meeting lasts about an hour.

The first 30 minutes is the business meeting for the club.  We go over upcoming events, service projects, and existing programs that we are a part of.  This is also a time to have lunch with the fellow members of Kiwanis.  We also take part in “happy dollars” and collect funds for the Eliminate Project during this part of the meeting.

The second 30 minutes is when we have speakers come to talk to our group about a group that they are a part of.  These include governmental agencies, not-for-profit groups, local businesses and other service organizations that want to get word out about their group.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Kiwanis Club of Shawnee, stop by The Big Biscuit on a Tuesday and see what we are all about.  You will be glad that you did.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.
